TIPS

I used to clean for a living after also growing up in a messy house and struggling to be tidy myself . Changed my life . Best tip I can give you is to always stick to one room. Not to wander around cleaning things here and there, work in one room and move to the next so you don’t get overwhelmed . Also helps because once one room is cleaned it motivates you to clean other rooms . And cleaning left to right , top to bottom. Like say you’re in the bathroom clean the sink but start with the mirror so the dust falls to the sink.. then wipe the sink and move down to the cabinets under the sink so all that dirt falls to the floor .. then move over and clean the toilet etc always working from top to bottom , left to right then do the floors obviously to clean up the crap that fell to the floor . There’s a channel on YouTube called “clean my space “ she has lots of cleaning tip videos and it’s also super motivating :)

-----

I like to wash/change my bed linen every weekend, makes me feel better about the coming week.

If you get into the habit of picking up after yourself and keeping tidy it won't build up and feel overwhelming :)

Before you start vacuuming spray a cleaner all over the shower/bath/toilet and let it sit, if you have a shower curtain try to avoid it as it will most likely bleach it. When you're done vaccumming wipe down the sprayed areas :) I find it way easier to do if i play music loudly while I do it!
