How to become the best version of yourself

"Be the best version of yourself in anything you do. You don’t have to live anybody else’s story." -Stephen Curry

Exercise is proven to enhance mood and perception of one's self and surroundings. It will provide a boost to everything in your life. Everything. It will lead to healthier habits outside of exercising. Best thing I ever started, and it will be the same for you!

Things that I have discovered that work for me:

  1. Take care of HALT (hungry, angry, lonely, tired) first. If those things aren't addressed, you're going to have a bad time.

  2. Manage your spoons. Say "no" when you don't have the energy to do something.

  3. Do good things for other people, either organized (volunteering) or not.

  4. Cultivate good partner/friend selection. Don't let shitty people into your inner circle. Only permit people who facilitate positive growth into your inner circle.

  5. Create. Make something that doesn't yet exist in the world.

I’m working on it.

So far I’m pretty awesome but I’ve still got work to do.

Discipline is step one. If you can’t stick to treating yourself right and improving yourself, you’re not going to get very far. After that, I’d say work on three things: becoming more skilled, physical and mental health, and your relationships. Establish your priorities and start there.

Keep trying to impress that 8 year old kid who you used to be while taking advice from the 100 year old version of you.
